Main drain mud ring leak and a leaking jet
The main drain on this Palm Coast pool was leaking at the seam between the drain pot and its mud ring — there was also a secondary leak around one of the jets.
Both traced back to the same failure: the hydraulic cement waterproofing behind them had broken down. Repairing it meant draining the pool. We demoed the plaster from around the jet and both drain pots, removed all of the failed hydraulic cement, and reapplied fresh waterproofing — then set the mud rings back in place over the drains, patched the plaster back in, and refilled.
The whole repair, start to finish — draining the pool, chipping out the failed waterproofing, resealing with hydraulic cement, and patching the plaster back in.
How it finished up
-
01
Both drains resealed, the mud rings reset, and the plaster patched flush into the pebble floor. -
02
The second leak: finish rebuilt around the jet, ready for the pool to be refilled.
